Can you kindly share with me why should we be disappointed? Are we off season or it's not normal to get 20kg AJ even at 120 or 140 rigs? The catches of some of you guys posted are really fantas ...

The catches at the rigs are not that stable. (maybe is me la...) And it is the end of the season anyway...
Perth, on the other hand, could be a better choice. I was there last year and the catches were pretty good and I'm going there again this Nov/Dec.
Anyway, depends on the target fish, AU got all sorts... from GT, AJ, Grouper, etc... depends on what you are looking for.

We've been to perth b4. Most catch are samson, athough they are amberjack family but strength wise is totally different. One contact that my friend gave me was Simon and seven islands. Is this the right contact??

Bro Sevenseas, what you get in Perth is more Samsons then anything else and we have been there before. AJ is more likely to happen in places like Brazil, Taiwan & etc, etc. Samsons will only give you short busts and don't last long in a fight thus our desperation of AJ is much higher.

TW is no doubt but weather is always so unpredictable and we are only allowed 48hrs out seas and travelling to the right spots takes up alot of time.

Galanted, have you considered Bali ??

My agent is promoting a Bali fishing trip for me while it's comparatively expensive and time consuming for me.  Name of spot is Nusa Penida.  Anglers can do jigging, trolling, casting and bottom fishing.  Targets are Tuna, AJ, Dorado, Meckerel, Snappers, Groupers & Scribbled file fish ......... etc.

You'd check this while oil rig's season ends.  If I am staying in SGP, I will give it a trial.

I have been to Bali before, current there is really strong till 668g jigs can't touch ground. Bite rates are not very constant so i would not consider going back again. Thanks for the kind invite thou!
