Oil Rig Jigging.

Greetings from Singapore! I'm wondering if anyone in here would be kind enough to spare me some information on Nan You Oil Rig Jigging for Amberjacks. Any informations will be very much appreciated!

Buddy, you'd check this out in this forum about jigging Amberjack as well as other species at oil rig.  You hv to specify what particular info you want and thus you may get reply shortly here.  Anyway it's almost the last 2-3 weeks left for Nan's season.

How's fishing at your end ??  Is there any good info you can share with us ??  I did see advertisements at fishing (diving) shops your end.  The photos shown were good but it may be overseas fishing trip I really can't sure.   Thks !!

I am looking for charter/boat informations and contacts. I am thinking to get a small group of singaporean anglers to going jigging for sizeable amberjacks. May i ask how many Oil Rigs can be accessed by in Nan Hai and where are the ones that produces sizeable AJs.
In Singapore, Offshore Fishing is that not productive and most people are into reservoir/lake kind of fishing. As for my group of anglers, we have to resort to fishing in places such as Indonesia, Australia, Maldives and some parts of Malaysia.

Just my own opinion for initiative organiser from overseas, the preferable way is to approach fishing shops or experienced charterers in HKG since they can arrange a tailor-made trip and prepare supplementary tools for your group.

how big is your group? seems like speedboat might fit you.

Likely a group of 4 and up, the right equipment shouldn't be a problem. We are really keen to have a go at AJ 20kgs and up too. Just need the help on establishing the contacts with the boat owners that goes to the further rigs for sizeable AJs. Any kind souls in here can drop me some contacts and informations will be very much appreciated.

If you guys are expecting 20kg+ AJ, you will be disappointed. Why don't you go to Australia?
In addition, it's hitting the end of the season. I think you better come next year.

Can you kindly share with me why should we be disappointed? Are we off season or it's not normal to get 20kg AJ even at 120 or 140 rigs? The catches of some of you guys posted are really fantastic! Bro Sevenseas, you mentioned AJ in Australia, may i ask which part of Australia are you referring to? I would really wish to join you guys next year but can't wait!
