  i am a beginner too, there were a lot of bite that day and finally i have a good understanding how's it feel when the trout is biting!
  a lil tap on the line or better description would be the hook brushes over a rock kind of feeling.
was so gutted that i didnt hit the limit of the day, was working so hard for the last fish!
missed 4, 2 got away. the last one which got away put on a show as well, jumped 1st time, 2nd time.
3nd time when i was just about to net it, out in the air, shaking its head and yelled ARGGGAH!
and it's off -.-"

i had a what the fxxx moment.

    hmmm, i gave three away, one already ate. planty of butter, rosemary and thyme, oven 200'c for 20mins.
the rest will go on a bbq today. next time if i catch that many i might try smoking them. :)

p.s. anyone know how to flip pictures after uploaded?
I flipped them on my computer but it turns out the wrong way round on the web =.='

With these flies.....................12 ft leader/tippet on a floating line, slow retrieve work best fishing for trout.................

    hmmhmm! i got a magazine that teach you how to do it your self! if i got time i will try it and share the experience with you guys
