About the fight:  Since the fish is not big I couldn't comment about the power of rod at all.  So let's talk about the tip.  I think overall it does a decent job.  The design of the rod tip is definitely for use of crab bait since it is quite hard (harder than Kurodai Kobo's and about the same as Ah Dor Gor's Bay stage) and it only has 4 guides on the sensitive section of the tip which is short as well.  But I can feel and also see the fish bite clearly without much problem.  Not the best one out there but I would say it does the job...

Side note:  I was so nervous after hooking the fish since I have turtle'd for quite a while..need more practice..
