Do you think you can explain what you learned about the bait taking habit of the fish?

I used up over 30-40 crabs and very small shells to fish today
and they were the only bait i used today
It's really hard to put it in words, trial is the best way to learn
but what i did was,
"Don't think, Feel"

I wish I could explain what I learn and get from yesterday
but I think it is just something you can feel on your own
although the fishes were willing to "open mouth"
those yellow legs were eating bait so cleverly and that make it the best part
even using little crab for bait(fifty cents coin size), they can just bite off the bit without hooks on it
and to sum up, you will just know if they have the bait inside their mouth or it is just playing with it after being played for a while
I am not sure if I can catch their eating patten next time, but it was good experience.

something else, using shell for bait did work yesterday, that was the 2nd time I try using it,
they usually take it when it first drop into water sinking natrally
but unless they drag your bait away, it is difficult to hook them on firmly in their mouth when using shell
more often you will just have them hooked for few seconds before the hook came off their mouth,
as 亞多哥 said yesterday, shell is difficult to use or to hook on to them.
