好似好好用,不過如果條魚大力就甩
The science behind the technology.
The most common question anglers ask us is, "If the SmartLink will release a snag, what prevents it from releasing when a fish is on the line?"
The answer is simple: Your rod wont allow it. | Even when flexed to their maximum, all rods produce very little force at the hook. |
All fishing rods produce surprisingly little force at the hook because the rod acts as a giant shock absorber. As long as you obey the golden rule of angling and never point your rod tip at the fish, the rod will be incapable of generating enough force to cause the SmartLink to release. The only way a SmartLink will release is if you wrap the line around your hand above the rod tip and pull directly on the line.
Prove it to yourself by trying this little test: Ask a friend to help you by holding one of your fishing rods.
First, remove all hooks, lures, and terminal tackle from the end of the line and then wrap the line around your hand several times to get a firm grip on it.
Next, let out about 20 feet of line and ask your friend to pull back on the rod so you can feel the "pulling force" the rod generates. Go ahead and really pull on the rod so you can feel the maximum force the rod will generate.
Now ask your friend to lock the drag on the reel, point the rod tip directly at you and walk backwards. You will be amazed at the difference you feel.
When the rod manufacturers line recommendations are followed, the angler is assured the rod will not produce enough force to break the line.
In closing, the key to getting optimum results from your Ultimate SmartLink is to match your SmartLink/Line rating to your rod weight rating, as specified in the Rigging Guide. Fishing rods are rated by how stiff they are: The higher the rating, the stiffer the rod. Stiff, heavyweight rods produce more pulling force at the hook than soft, flexible rods. By following our Rigging Guide, your rod, line and SmartLink will act as a team, landing fish when they bite and freeing lures when they snag.
