I have lots of marker both at home and office,
that's why I'm thinking of keeping most material at white
and colour with marker later on as desire.

Just counted the colours available on the EP label. There are already 59 different colours. Yes you can colour the fibers with waterproof markers like stripes and dots for certain fish imitation. But if you are talking about colouring the whole fiber then it may probably take sometime to colour it to keep the fiber colours uniform. Dyeing the fibers would be a faster process.
Google Puglisi baitfish and you can find plenty of info on other people flies like the peanut bunker etc. some with coloured stripes.
