yea, after all these, then u want to start fly tying. it is double excitement to get fish with your own fly. trust me, it feels good!!!

There's nothing wrong with what the salesman assembled for you. Noted that you have a 3X tapered leader attached, the tippet end of the leader will eventually get shorte ...

Tapered leaders are from 0X to 7X. The chart gives you indications of strength of the leader. ie. 0X = 13 lb, 2X = 7.5lb, 3X = 5.8lb, 7X = 2.2lb. respectively.

The thicker end is tied to the fly line. and the thinner end is where the fly is tied.
