fiy fishing

I know some people like fly fishing in hk and will like to know more information to learn where their can fishing and how to used the fly.
Basicly if you fishing on the boat and need  to the seaside coast.

that you can use saltwater ranger floating line #7-8 and 5-6'long leader above size 5-6lb lines.

i'd have to agree with you on #7-8 as it can get quite windy at times, anything less will be blown away.

as for the leader.. i guess it really depends on target fish.. just my opinion

I have been getting bass in Dongguan with my 2 wt rod and I am happy with it.

As for salt water, I was using my 9wt rod only and I got lucky too.

Yeah, with a 2 wt rod having a bass on is great fun. You'd get the feeling like big game salt water fishing even the catch is only around 10 cm. The rod would bend so much that you'd think you are fighting a marlin on your line.

Pictures?................check out the Dongguan trip report on March 16 inside the forum. Will try to take more pictures next trip in April. I will be using my 4 wt travel rod then.

I was exaggerating a bit using marlin as sample................however, with a light weight rod giving the fish an opportunity to fight is much more enjoyable than simply pulling the fish to the landing net.

The feeling is excellent.

agree.. that's why i'm planning to get a 000 or 00 when i have more success with fly...

Hey kfd, check out lure8 if you have time. Just came back from a fishing trip for lenoks over the weekend. My friend used his new triple0 and caught a 50cm lenok!

50cm lenok with a triple 0.................must have took quite some time to net the bugger!
