Nothing fancy really...........An Olive Woolly Bugger #10 was used!
Can only say it's a matter of technique in target casting. The Carp was seen sucking algae on top water............changing quickly into an Olive Woolly Bugger and casted roughly 2 feet in front of the fish................. the fly, drifting on its own. No more than a minute....................fish on. Once hooked..........she dived quickly and took me quite some time to get her back on to the surface. Was using a barbless hook and she ............well...you've seen the clip.........
Did I lose the fish?
No, I would say (comforting myself) .............................it was just a long distance "catch and release"!!!! I had the fly back!
