Hi all
I'm a newbie to this site.  It's good to see there's a community of keen flyfishermen here in Hong Kong.  Until I met Anderson recently, I thought my friends and I were the only flyfishermen here in Hong Kong.

The bulk of the fishing we've done has been offshore -- trolling for mahi mahi, tuna, wahoo and the odd sailfish and marlin.  When weather allows we've try to fly fish for mahi mahi and have managed to catch a few.  We've also casted to free-swimming wahoo, but no success as yet. 

What do you guys generally fly fish for in Hong Kong?  Would be keen to meet up for a fish at some stage.

Welcome to the forum. It's me jacky.

It's always exciting to have a new fly fishing member joining the force.. haha.. So far our sp list includes tapron, gaint herring ,tilapia, grunter, grouper, bream, and a few types of freshwater minnows. All are done in shore.

you mention it was a day trip for Mahi Mahi, where about do you go?

Nice Mahi Mahi, there a great fish just made for fly fishing. Will try and catch up soon its a bit crazy with the in-laws over here.
